Dallas Favorite: Frontiers Of Flight Museum

Immerse yourself in the wonder of flight with the Frontiers of Flight Museum, located at Dallas Love Field. This fascinating museum is one of the most fun things to do in Dallas. Here is what you need to know before heading out to this world-class flight museum.

What to See:

There is no shortage of things to see and do at this unique aviation museum. The venue is home to over 40 air and space vehicles and more than 35,000 historical artifacts. These items are on display throughout the 20 galleries of the museum.

You will find everything from classic aircraft, modern spacecraft, important historical artifacts that document the nation's journey of space and air exploration, cruise, and ballistic missiles, and much more. Popular exhibits include the World War I Gallery, the Late Cold War/Vietnam Gallery, and the Southwest Airlines – Heart of our History Exhibit.

The museum also hosts a research library for those really wanting to dive into the field of aviation. Or try one of the many interactive offerings, including a variety of flight simulators and trainers.

Planning Your Visit:

The museum is open seven days per week. Monday through Saturday, the site opens at 10 am and closes at 5 pm. Hours of operation on Sunday are 1 pm to 5 pm. Ticket prices for adults are $10. Seniors 65 and over only pay $8 while youths age 3 - 17 gain entry for just $7. Children under the age of 3 are free.

The museum is conveniently located on the southeast corner of Dallas Love Field off of University Street and Lemmon Avenue. There is no charge for parking at the museum.

While there is no formal food service at the museum, patrons can purchase snacks and beverages at the Museum Store or from the vending machines located at the facility. Picnic tables are also available for your use on the north side of the facility. In addition, there is a variety of restaurants located just off-site on Lemmon Avenue.
